We’ve designed the talks to offer valuable insights for all levels of experience, whether you're just discovering the world of game development or have been part of it for years.
After all, our goal is to make this event a true meeting point for the entire Hungarian game development community – a bridge connecting experiences, ideas, and the people behind them.
The event features 17 different talks covering almost every area of game development, including programming, game design, 2D/3D graphics, audio and music, marketing, HR, publishing and legal matters, as well as indie game development.
In the expo area, you’ll get to try more than a dozen games made right here in Hungary, as well as discover tools and services that support game development. It’s not just about playing – you can meet the creators face-to-face, ask questions, share ideas, and get inspired by their stories.

Got a project idea but missing a team? Or looking to join someone else’s? Don’t miss the Developer Speed Dating! After the talks, you’ll have the chance to meet people with similar interests in a fun, informal format. Each pairing gets five minutes before moving on to the next round. Afterwards, you can follow up with the people you’re most interested in – so feel free to take notes!

The Business Meetup is Game Dev Day’s exclusive business event, created specifically for leaders, studio owners and decision-makers in the Hungarian game development industry. Starting at 7 pm on Thursday evening, the event is designed to create opportunities for meaningful connections between local companies in an intimate, focused setting.

After a full day, unwind in the courtyard at the afterparty, where you can carry on the conversation, meet new people or simply relax with a drink. Good music and a friendly atmosphere are guaranteed. Come and let’s round off the day together in good spirits!
At the pitch contest, you’ll have the chance to practise presenting your project in a real-world setting – much like you would when pitching to investors or publishers. This isn’t about competition, but about growth: everyone who takes the stage receives personalised feedback from our international jury, along with guaranteed recognition from the audience. If you’re serious about game development, this is an opportunity you won’t want to miss.
The event would not have been possible without our supporters!
All of them play an exciting and relevant role in the games industry and the tech world, so take a few minutes to discover what they do and get a closer look at their work. Who knows—you might just find your next collaboration opportunity or a spark of inspiration among them!
